What: Creative Music Workshop (part of the Cathedral Village Arts Festival)

Where: Artesian on 13th Avenue

holophon is looking for participants to join its free Creative Music Workshop on Monday, May 20th. The workshop will be held at the Artesian on 13th Avenue, from 1PM to 5PM, and we’re looking for 8-12 participants to join us. As part of the Cathedral Village Arts Festival, this is an all-ages, no experience required workshop and is being offered to participants free of charge.

In this workshop, Jeffrey Allport will be leading the participant ensemble in the creation of a new musical composition, a composition that will premiere later that night at holophon’s Third Annual Performance at the Arts Festival.

Participants are invited to bring a ‘Sound-Making Device’ of their choosing to the Workshop; this can be a musical instrument, an electronic device, an improvised object, or even your own voice. If bringing an electronic device, participants are asked to bring their own amp/speaker.
